GNU/Roxy/Lib Tech

All products made by Mervin have a one year warranty against manufacturer’s defects from the date of purchase from a Mervin Authorized Dealer. Further, this warranty only covers defects in materials and workmanship. The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, excessive abuse or misuse by riding things other than snow, impacts due to your steering problems, cosmetic issues or modifications you made. You must keep your sales receipt when you purchase a Mervin Manufacturing product. This is your proof of purchase and you will need to show this if you need to warranty your product. The warranty is only applicable to the original purchaser and is void if your product was purchased from another person or an unauthorized dealer (including, without limitation, Craig’s List, eBay, etc.) If you think you may have defective product, you can take it back to the place of purchase or any Authorized Mervin Dealer. The Authorized Mervin Dealer will take a look at the product and help you determine the best course of action. ANY WARRANTIES SENT TO MERVIN MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY A SALES RECEIPT AND AN RETURN AUTHORIZATION NUMBER.

CAPiTA

Over the past year, the EETT™ development team at MARS1 has been working to connect you to your board beyond the standard boot/binding interface. By embedding a super-intelligent Near Field Communication (NFC) chip into the nose of your board, you can now connect your phone to your board for seamless product information, snowboard registration, warranty processing and more. CAPiTA Snowboards warrants the original retail purchaser that the CAPiTA snowboard is free of defects in material or workmanship for a period of two (2) years from the date of purchase. If the CAPiTA snowboard is found to be defective, in the judgment of CAPiTA, in its sole discretion, CAPiTA’s only responsibility and obligation shall be to repair or replace the defective CAPiTA snowboard.

What is covered?

  • Top sheet, base or sidewall delamination due to manufacturing defect.
  • Structural stress cracking on the top sheet, base, core, sidewall or edge due to a manufacturing defect.
  • Misaligned, spinning or stripped inserts. Please be aware that stripped inserts or damage to the insert or base due to improper mounting is not considered a material flaw and is not repairable.

What is NOT covered?

  • Damage caused by misuse, abuse, or neglect.
  • Damage caused by improper mounting or adjustment of the bindings and or use of solvents, adhesives or LOC-TITE.
  • Damage to core by heavy compression or stress.
  • Rock or handrail damage and any other impact related damage of any kind renders this warranty null and void. While riding both inbounds and out of bounds terrain at resorts exposed and unexposed obstacles such as rocks, tree stumps, roots, branches and more exist. CAPiTA is not responsible for the potential damage that may occur when riding over these obstacles either purposefully or accidently.
  • Damage caused by anything other than defects in material or workmanship.
  • Normal wear and tear.
Niche

A manufacturing defect would be something like a blemish on a topsheet or a non impact-induced delamination. Impact damage is not categorized as a manufacturing defect. For instance, if you were charging hard one day and accidentally ran the nose of your board into a tree and it snapped, that would be considered as impact damage and would not be covered under warranty as it was not broken due to a defect in its production. If you are unsure if damage done to your board is due to a manufacturing defect feel free to reach out to us at [email protected] before attempting to fix the damage. Please include the product model name, size, serial number, and photos of the issue you are referencing.

Sleep

Every board is guaranteed against manufacturer defects for up to one year from the original purchase date from the original purchaser.

Contact with things other than snow (rails, rocks, leaving it outside, etc) will void the warranty as these things inevitably will damage your board and don't fall under our manufacturer's defect guarantee. Impact related issues, damage caused by use of solvents or thread locking adhesives, or minor or cosmetic cracks or chips in the top sheet will not be refunded or replaced and do not fall under the manufacturer's defect guarantee as well.

If you think your snowboard has a manufacturer's defect, please email [email protected] with pictures to start the potential refund process.
